Your Voices Count is a public journalism project sponsored by the San Jose Mercury News, KNTV (ABC's San Jose affiliate) and the California Voter Foundation. The project is funded by a grant from the Pew Charitable Trusts and involves 75 citizen participants.
The goal of the Voices project is to facilitate community awareness and public discussion about how money influences the California State Legislature. The project began in March 1995 and will continue through February 1996.
Your Voices Count is a strictly non-partisan project based on voluntary participation.
